Harborview Medical Center received four patients, including a 2-year-old boy, a 23-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman and another adult woman now in surgery.
Seattle police confirmed multiple shooting victims shortly after the gunfire. Officers asked the public to avoid Seattle Center while police and federal agents investigated the scene.
“We are always ready because we’re a Level I trauma center. If something like this happens, unfortunately, then we deliver, and that’s what we did this evening.”

Harborview Treating Four Patients
Harborview received four patients from the shooting, including a 2-year-old boy. The other patients include a 23-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman and another woman whose age was not immediately available.
Gregg said three patients were in satisfactory condition. Another patient underwent surgery and remained in critical condition.
The hospital entered a partial lockdown following the shooting. However, Gregg said Harborview remained ready to receive another patient if necessary.
“It’s a busy time for the trauma center,” Gregg said. “It’s summer, so it’s very busy, but this is what we’re meant to do.”
Officials have not released information about the remaining injured person.
Shooting Erupts During Bite of Seattle
The shooting happened during the final day of the Bite of Seattle, a three-day food festival held across the Seattle Center campus.
Seattle police initially reported shots fired and multiple victims. The FBI later joined local law enforcement officers at the scene.
Police have not released the victims’ identities or said what led to the shooting. Authorities also have not released confirmed information about any suspects.
