BELLINGHAM, Wash. — If you love theater, there is a reason to be excited this week as the Unsubdued Theatre Collective will bring classic fairy tales and folklore to the stage at the New Prospect Theatre.
“Fractured Fairy Tales: An Unsubdued Revue,” featuring 11 original short plays runs Sept. 25-27 and Oct. 2-4, with each piece offering a different take on familiar stories and characters.
The show includes stories inspired by the Brothers Grimm, Baba Yaga and Robin Hood. The original pieces range from a smooth-talking wolf working as a real estate agent to an exploration of life under an “Ogrearchy.”
Local actors and playwrights wrote and perform the pieces, giving the production a showcase for Bellingham’s theater community.

Cafarella, a veteran of the Bellingham theater scene, is producing the show with Unsubdued Theatre Collective President Bryna Sweeney.
