The Whatcom County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding 61-year-old Adam Cooper, last seen near his Custer-area home early Monday.
CUSTER, Wash. — The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a medically vulnerable man last seen early Monday near his Custer-area home.
Adam B. Cooper, 61, disappeared around 4 a.m. July 27 near his residence in the 2600 block of Willeys Lake Road. The area sits north of Birch Bay-Lynden Road in rural Whatcom County.
“If you have any information or have seen Adam, please call 911.”

Medical Conditions Heighten Concern
Cooper suffered a stroke and cannot speak. He also lives with chronic and acute emphysema and depends on supplemental oxygen.
According to the sheriff’s office, Cooper left home carrying a portable oxygen tank. He typically carries the tank slung across his shoulder.
Cooper may be wearing a black sweater with “IGA” printed on it, blue jeans and black shoes.
Deputies described Cooper as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and approximately 160 pounds. He has blue eyes.
Anyone who sees Cooper should call 911 immediately and provide his location, direction of travel and any other details that could help deputies find him.
