BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A driver ran a stop sign and struck a WTA bus Monday morning at Alabama and Valencia streets, according to Bellingham Police Department Lt. Claudia Murphy.

Bus Passengers Escape Injury
Officers responded to the crash at approximately 9:22 a.m. July 20.
Murphy said the bus was traveling east on Alabama Street toward Valencia Street. Meanwhile, the car was traveling north on Valencia Street toward Alabama Street.
The bus carried passengers, but no one aboard suffered injuries. The car’s driver sustained a minor injury.
Police Cite Driver
Police issued the driver a civil infraction for failing to stop at a stop sign.
Crews cleared the crash scene and reopened the roadway by 10:02 a.m.
