SEATTLE, Wash. — Washington State Patrol detectives are asking anyone who witnessed a serious hit-and-run crash on State Route 99 to come forward after an unknown vehicle struck a motorcycle and left the scene early Aug. 22.
A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries early Aug. 22 when an unknown vehicle struck the motorcycle on northbound State Route 99 in King County, according to the WSP investigators.
WSP communications received multiple 911 calls about the collision at about 1:25 a.m. near 14th Avenue S.
Troopers arrived and found the motorcycle rider on the roadway. A witness had applied a tourniquet to the rider before troopers arrived.

Investigators say the motorcycle traveled north on SR 99 when an unknown vehicle struck it, causing the motorcycle to go down.
The driver of the unknown vehicle then fled the scene, according to investigators.
Paramedics took the rider to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
WSP has not identified the vehicle or driver involved in the crash. Detectives continue to investigate the hit-and-run.
WSP is asking anyone who witnessed the collision to contact investigators. Detectives also want anyone with dashcam or other video from the area to come forward.
