Washington State Patrol Trooper Kelsey Harding shared details of the arrest Wednesday in a social media post highlighting the dangers of excessive speeding and attempting to flee law enforcement.
Trooper Never Lost Sight of Motorcycle
According to Harding, the rider traveled at speeds exceeding 90 mph before attempting to elude the pursuing trooper.
Despite the rider’s efforts to escape and later hide, the trooper maintained visual contact with the motorcycle throughout the incident.
The rider was ultimately arrested on suspicion of attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle.
WSP Warns Against Reckless Driving
Following the arrest, Harding reminded drivers that reckless speeding places everyone on the roadway at risk.
“Riding at 90+. Tried to run. Tried to hide. Neither worked,” Harding wrote in the post. “Slow down. Reckless driving puts everyone at risk.”
Washington State Patrol continues to encourage motorists to obey posted speed limits and avoid dangerous driving behaviors that can lead to serious crashes or criminal charges.
The Washington State Patrol did not immediately release the rider’s identity or the location of the incident.
