SEATTLE, Wash. — Washington State Patrol detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying a van believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a motorcyclist in Seattle last year.

According to investigators, 39-year-old Benjamin McIntyre was riding his motorcycle on State Route 509 near the Meyers Way exit at about 11:40 p.m. on Sept. 13, 2025. A white van traveling at a high rate of speed struck McIntyre after he changed lanes to take the exit.
Troopers said the collision ejected McIntyre from his motorcycle. The van then exited the highway and fled the scene. McIntyre later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Detectives Release Photos of Suspect Vehicle
Investigators describe the vehicle as a white Sprinter-style van with a distinctive window configuration. According to WSP, the van has two windows on the driver’s side and three windows on the passenger side. Detectives released photographs of the actual vehicle in hopes that someone will recognize it.

Public Asked to Report Information
Washington State Patrol detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the van or knows its location to contact Detective Ivan Sergeev. Anyone with information can email Ivan.Sergeev@wsp.wa.gov.
The case remains under investigation.
