BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Families looking for a fun and educational outing this weekend can meet local first responders and learn important safety tips at the annual Safety Fair on Saturday, June 6, near Barkley Village.
The free community event will feature activities for all ages with safety information booths. Meanwhile, visitors can meet deputies, emergency management staff and other public safety professionals from across Whatcom County.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and members of the county’s Division of Emergency Management will be on hand throughout the event.
Organizers encourage residents to stop by, ask questions and learn more about emergency preparedness, public safety programs and resources available in the community.
The Safety Fair has become an annual tradition that connects residents with the agencies that respond during emergencies while providing hands-on activities for children and families.
The event takes place Saturday, June 6, near Barkley Village in Bellingham. Admission is free.
