LYNNWOOD, Wash. — All lanes of State Route 524 near Larch Way in Lynnwood were blocked overnight after a suspected DUI crash, according to the responding agencies.
Trooper Kelsey Harding said the multi-vehicle crash blocked State Route 524, also known as the Bothell-Everett Highway, near Larch Way in the Bothell and Mill Creek area.

Harding said the crash brought down power lines during the incident. Photos from the scene show heavy damage. One vehicle left the roadway and struck trees. Another overturned near a utility pole. Debris was scattered across the road.
One driver was arrested for DUI. It is not yet clear if there were injuries.
Lynnwood Area Residents Lost Power Overnight
According to KIRO 7, the downed power lines left 2,921 customers without power overnight.
SR 524 remained closed through Thursday morning until WSDOT reported it had reopened shortly before 9:00 a.m.
“Use caution in the area as utility crews may still be in the area,” WSDOT officials said.
