Three Drivers Hospitalized
The Subaru struck the vehicle it was passing. It then hit an oncoming Volkswagen Tiguan, WSP said.
The Tiguan rotated into the westbound lane and struck a 2003 Honda Civic. Meanwhile, the passed vehicle, a flatbed truck, came to rest on the eastbound shoulder.
The 24-year-old Sultan man driving the Subaru suffered injuries, and medics took him to EvergreenHealth. The 24-year-old Snohomish man driving the passed vehicle also went to Providence.
Additionally, the 38-year-old Gold Bar man driving the Civic went to Providence. The 46-year-old Everett man driving the Tiguan was not hurt.
Cause Under Investigation
All four drivers wore seat belts, according to WSP. Troopers do not suspect drugs or alcohol.
The Subaru, the Tiguan and the Civic were all totaled. In contrast, the flatbed and its trailer had reportable damage but drove from the scene.
WSP is still investigating the cause. Charges have not been determined.
