BLAINE, Wash. — The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will soar above the White Rock waterfront Aug. 12, offering spectators on both sides of the border a view of the team’s celebrated aerial performance.
The free show will begin at 5:30 p.m. and last approximately 45 minutes. While White Rock will host the demonstration, people in Blaine can watch from Marine Park, which looks across Semiahmoo Bay toward the Canadian waterfront.

Final Season for Historic Tutor Jets
The “Wings Over White Rock” show comes as the Snowbirds celebrate their 55th anniversary. It will also mark the team’s final season flying its historic CT-114 Tutor jets.
Canada plans to permanently ground the aging fleet after the 2026 performance season. The Snowbirds will then await replacement aircraft, which officials expect to arrive sometime in the 2030s.
For generations, the red-and-white jets have become a familiar symbol at airshows across Canada and the United States. Their tightly coordinated formations send aircraft sweeping, climbing and crossing through the sky with only narrow spaces between them.
Against the backdrop of Semiahmoo Bay, the White Rock demonstration will give spectators a final opportunity to see the Tutor jets perform above the waterfront.
Large Crowds Expected Along Waterfront
White Rock officials encourage visitors to walk, cycle, carpool or take public transportation because parking near the waterfront will likely fill quickly.
The city lists the event time as 5 p.m., with the aerial demonstration starting at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Spectators watching from Blaine should arrive early at Marine Park to find a clear view across the bay. The park sits beside Blaine Harbor and offers an unobstructed view toward White Rock, although the aircraft’s exact flight path and visibility will depend on weather and operational conditions.
