BLAINE, Wash. — A 17-year-old Whatcom County teen who was previously reported missing earlier this year has disappeared again, according to her family.
Destany Gray-Haugness was last seen Feb. 25 in Bellingham, according to a missing person alert shared by the Blaine Police Department.
Family members confirmed to PNW Daily that she is currently missing again and asked the public to help locate her.
Gray-Haugness attends Blaine High School and is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 195 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
The family added that Gray has friends in Ferndale and Lynden.
The Blaine Police Department said anyone with information about her whereabouts should call 911.
Previous disappearance earlier this year
The new alert comes weeks after Gray-Haugness was reported missing in Whatcom County earlier this year.
Family members previously told PNW Daily she disappeared Jan. 7 in the Blaine area after leaving with a family pickup truck. Police later classified the case as a runaway.
Relatives confirmed Jan. 18 that she had been located safely.
Family members have not clarified why the missing person alert uses the name Destany Gray-Haugness, while earlier reports referenced Destany Delane Gray.
No additional details about the circumstances surrounding the new disappearance have been released.
