Peace Arch
BLAINE, Wash. — A Canadian woman faces federal charges after being arrested near Peace Arch State Park late last month after crossing into the United States outside an official port of entry.
Federal court records show she resisted arrest, used obscenities, and kicked a U.S. Border Patrol supervisor in the face, causing injury. The incident took place December 30, 2025.
Agents say she repeatedly refused to comply with instructions during the encounter.
The woman has been charged in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington with assault on a federal officer and unlawful entry into the United States. She made her initial court appearance in early January and remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
No formal press release has been issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Full details are available in the federal court filing.
