Ferndale High School band students have two days left to raise funds for their May 2026 Disneyland performance. Donations help cover travel costs.
FERNDALE, Wash. — With two days left before the deadline, students in the Ferndale High School Marching Band and Color Guard are asking the community for help as they prepare for a spring performance at Disneyland.
Band members, including Ferndale student Cecile Henderson, are raising money to cover travel and participation costs for the May 2026 trip.
“I am preparing to march down Main Street Disneyland this May with the Ferndale High School Marching Band and Color Guard,” Cecile said in a message to supporters. “I’m super excited to be a part of this event. I would appreciate it if you could help support me by making a simple flat donation.”
Students prepare for major performance
The Disneyland trip places Ferndale students in a long-running performance tradition. School bands from across the country march the Main Street parade route each year.
“The Ferndale High School Marching Band and Color Guard has the opportunity to march down the iconic Main Street Disneyland parade route May of 2026,” the fundraising site states. “Our marching band will experience the emotion, pageantry and pride of a grand Disney tradition.”
Organizers say the experience pushes students to perform at a high level while representing their school and community.
Students will also attend a backstage Imagination Campus workshop. There, they will record music synced to a clip from a Disney film. The session focuses on timing, teamwork and studio performance skills.
Final days to support student musicians
Fundraising helps cover travel costs so more students can participate. Organizers say donations over $400 qualify as sponsor-level support.
Band supporters say most students get this opportunity only once during high school. The final days of fundraising will help determine how many students can attend.
Community members who want to support Ferndale High School band students are encouraged to donate before the deadline as the group prepares for May.
