Motorcyclist Arrested After I-5 Pursuit From Ferndale To Blaine

BLAINE, Wash. — Washington State Patrol arrested a motorcyclist Tuesday evening after a high-speed pursuit from Ferndale to Blaine, according to the agency.

Trooper Kelsey Harding said a trooper spotted a Suzuki GSXR 600 without a license plate around 7 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5 near Main Street in Ferndale.
“A pursuit was initiated reaching speeds greater than 100mph which went north on I-5 and exited to Peace Portal Way in Blaine,” Trooper Harding said.
The rider exited at Peace Portal Way and tried to turn back toward southbound I-5. The motorcycle tipped over at low speed. The rider ran briefly before surrendering.
Troopers arrested the rider on suspicion of attempting to elude law enforcement. Harding said the rider also lacked a motorcycle endorsement and drove with a suspended license. Troopers impounded the motorcycle.
Blaine Police Department assisted at the scene.
