Earlier missing person case in Concrete remains unsolved
Hunt is the second woman in recent years to go missing with last-known ties to Concrete.
Mikayla Standridge, 25, disappeared on April 21, 2023. Investigators say she placed a 911 call from the Concrete area before running from a residence near Skagit View Drive.
Search teams later found her phone near the Skagit River. Investigators have not located Standridge. Her case remains open.
Recent upriver criminal investigations
The upper Skagit Valley has also seen several major criminal investigations in the past two years.

In August 2024, a house fire in the Rockport area killed three people. Investigators later determined the fire followed a triple homicide. Authorities identified Jason Birman as the suspect and continue to search for him. Law enforcement agencies have offered a reward for information leading to his arrest.

Investigators say the boat’s motor froze. Civille stepped off onto a sandbar near the end of Landing Road and planned to walk to her car, then return home to La Conner. Temperatures that night ranged between 0 and 10 degrees.
Searchers later found some of Civille’s belongings, including her car keys, near the drop-off location. She never reached her vehicle. Search and rescue teams conducted extensive efforts but did not find her. She has remained missing for more than four decades.
